A Closer Look at Spa Equipment: Crystal-Free Microdermabrasion System

The DiamondSkin crystal free microdermabrasion system  combines oxygen therapy with crystal-free microdermabrasion in one very  unique machine, allowing clients to receive the best crystal free microdermabrasion available according to many authorities. It is a new way to offer clients a series of skin care treatments producing better benefits ad results, and increasing profits of the spa. Made of surgical grade stainless steel the wand tip is embedded with natural diamond chips that are sifted to the exact micron size needed. Wands are available in four micron chip sizes which insures proper resurfacing for each client’s individual skin type. The appropriate diamond wand can be chosen, along with the adjustable vacuum which allows for a controlled abrasion of the client’s  skin. Once the procedure is complete the skin that has been removed is deposited to a small disposable filter for the client to view.

With no crystals propelled to the skin the DiamondSkin system allows a clinician to treat areas that are closer to the eyes and to treat the fine lines and the wrinkles around the lips. The wand has the exfoliating action of diamond chips and the stimulating action of vacuum combined with re-hydration effects from oxygenated air.

Skin resurfacing reduces effects of aging on  skin caused by the aging process and years of sun exposure. Lines, wrinkles, texture and color changes on areas such as the neck, face, chest, cleavage, arms and hands can all be improved. Skin resurfacing used as a treatment improves wrinkles, skin texture and color. It does this by removing the top most layer of the skin which leaves  it more supple and vibrant. It also stimulates the elastic tissue under the surface of the skin which results  in a healthier and firmer appearance.

Plastic surgeons and dermatologist view the DiamondSkin system as gentle and effective, more so than most other exfoliating systems. Clients experience softer and smoother skin, even after the first treatment.

Skin resurfacing isn’t new. The ancient Egyptians are believed to have used dermabrasion techniques to improve skin, including alabaster and pumice for removal of blemishes. Microdermabrasion is more modern, introduced in Italy in the 1990’s using aluminum oxide power to abase the skin and vacuum to clean blocked pores. While effective there are some disadvantages to this systems. Aluminum oxide is left embedded in the skin and floats in the air as are crystals. The clinician must wear a mask for protection from particles and the client must wear eye protection and remove contact lenses. The DiamondSkin system does an effective job, many believe more effective, without the obvious disadvantages.
