A Closer Look at Spa Equipment: VelaSmooth Cellulite Systems

A new piece of cellulite equipment for usage in medical spas is VelaSmooth, designed for cellulite control and body shaping. VelaSmooth uses elos or electro-optical synergy, a process combining bi-polar radio frequency, or RN along with infrared light energies and negative pressure along with tissue manipulation. VelaSmooth combines infrared and conducted RF energy to increase oxygen to the cells by heating skin, increasing the metabolism of stored energy and shrinking the size of the fat chamber. The best candidates for VelaSmooth are women with a Body Mass Index of 20 to 30%. Results can be seen after two sixty minute treatments per week for six to eight weeks, with modest improvement seen after the fifth or the sixth treatment. While VelaSmooth does not help a client loose weight, it does make many people feel slimmer.

What happens when a client has a VelaSmooth treatment? The client will receive a light spray applied to the treatment area, along with suction and warmth on the treated area.
