Top Ten Ways to Increase Business & Attract New Aesthetic Clients

The top ten ways to increase businesses and attract new aesthetic clients are all sound marketing efforts that you may already be doing and if not you should start soon. They include both traditional advertising and public relations, and follow.

  1. Referrals from happy clients – do an outstanding job in pleasing your client sand they are sure to tell their friends. This will lead to referrals of new customers who walk into your door already sold on your services because their friend sent them.
  2. New business from old clients – letting your current clients know about other services  you offer or products you sell will increase the dollars generated from these clients and is perhaps the simplest way to increase income.
  3. Welcome services – most towns have a Welcome Wagon or some other organization that welcomes new residents. These services will usually leave a basket with business cards, brochures, and gifts from sponsoring businesses. This is a great way to let potential customers know that you exist.
  4. Networking – what organizations do you belong to? Church, Toastmasters, Rotary? The Chamber of Commerce? Whatever group you belong to, whether it is social, personal or business related, you will meet people. Make sure that they know what you do for a living. Networking will bring in business steadily and doesn’t cost a lot.
  5. Your business card – follow the three foot rule at all times. If someone is within three feet of you, give them a business card. This is an extension of networking and requires you to give up your shyness and develop an outgoing personality, and it will lead to lots of new business.
  6. Newspaper advertising – your local newspaper is read by most people in your town. Have you checked out the cost of advertising? It might be lower than you think and could be very effective. If you don’t have a lot of money for display ads, consider small by the word classified ads to attract customers.
  7. Radio spots – all radio stations have special deals on unsold inventory. Sometimes these left over commercial spots can be acquired for a dollar or two per thirty second commercial. Let your local station know that you will take some of the unsold inventory and watch your phones light up.
  8. Television commercials – TV is expensive, but you may have a newer station with special rates, or a cable special that targets the people you need to reach the most. Check with them and see. Also check on participating in contests and trading your services for part of the cost.
  9. Fliers and brochures – print nice looking, attractive fliers and brochures and make sure that they are always available for your clients. Also leave them in conspicuous places like restaurant counters and on the bulletin boards in grocery stores.
  10. The Internet – how’s your website? Is it noticed by the major search engines? If not, consider organic optimization of your site to get more hits. Also check into pay per click advertising like Google Adwords and Yahoo Paid Search. Many businesses find this to be an effective method.

Above all, keep on marketing. Your business depends on it.
