Getting Your Spa Ready for Your Most Successful Christmas Season Ever! Part Three
Part Three – A Strong Seasonal Spa Menu – Catering to Clients and Seasons
It is NEVER too early to start planning your Holiday Season business strategies… Wait too long and you miss out! Plan early and it can secure your best business year ever – both in terms of revenues and loyal clients.
Getting into the holiday spirit for the aesthetician or spa owner means reworking the services menu for the holidays. If you promote your business properly you’ll see a holiday rush on two fronts: gift cards will be purchased by those who wish to introduce your business to those they shop for – including many husbands and boy friends who just don’t know what to buy for their significant other, and those who wish to pamper themselves and have a few treatments to get themselves into the holiday spirit.
If you are not ready for the holidays coming, then make it so. Decorate your spa in the proper theme. Most Americans celebrate Thanksgiving late in November. This truly American holiday is a time for family gatherings, eating turkey and dressing, and putting on the best clothes for the day. For many it also means watching holiday parades or football games on TV. For some it means organized games with the children or outdoor activities. Whatever the family tradition is, most women want to look their best and feel their best for Thanksgiving, so think about adding a Thanksgiving special to your menu. Combined several services that go well together and are high profit items for you, make up some fliers and hand them out to all your customers. Mail them to your client list, and email to those you can. Put signs up in the windows and get the word out. Also in December the Indian festival of Diwali is held. If you have customers of Indian heritage, offering a Diwali special will be sure to please them.
The big holidays in December are many and varied. Christmas, New Years, Hanukkah, and Kwanza all fall in December. Most Americans celebrate Christmas as either a secular or a religious holiday. For many Christians it is the most important holiday on their calendar. For other Americans who are not overly religious it is still a magic time of giving. Most Jews celebrate Hanukkah, the festival of lights, and many Americans celebrate the African holiday of Kwanza, whether they are of African American heritage or not. Why not decorate your spa for all four holidays mentioned. A Holiday Special Savings menu that wishes everyone a Happy New Year, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, and Happy Kwanza is a multicultural experience that should make everyone happy, and lead to many more gift cards sold and many more treatments booked as the holidays approach.
