Customer Service Check Up – How Much Are You Really Doing for your Aesthetic Clients?
How much are you really doing for your clients? Perhaps not enough. Remember that your clients are your bread and butter. They are your source of income. They way you make you’re living. And of all of the business skills that exist, customer service is one of the most important. Treating your customers as though they are the most important people in the world will keep them loyal to you and keep them coming back for years to come.
Think about all of the money it costs to acquire new clients though advertising, public relations, event promotion and other marketing efforts. It is much less costly and infinitely cost effective to retain clients you have now. Don’t loose them through inattention.
Would you rather spend thousands of dollars for television commercials to find new clients, or a little time to pamper the clients you already have and keep them forever. In fact your client and your customer service efforts are the marketing method that produces referrals, those clients that come from word of mouth. When a clients comes to you this way they are already sold on your service. Someone they know and trust has recommended you, so they already are convinced that your spa is the one for them. Don’t disappoint them. Excellent customer service will keep them coming back for more.
How well do you know your clients? Do you know their birthdays? How many children do they have? Are they married or single, and what do they do for a living? Where did they go for vacation last year? Engage your clients in conversation and get to know them and you’ll find that you like them and want to help them. Work should not be a chore, it should be a labor of love when you are in a profession like aesthetics. You are in the business of helping people and solid customer service is a part of that cycle of helping.
Think about the businesses that you like to patronize yourself. Don’t most of the better ones have top quality customer service? don’t they make you feel welcome at every visit? If you are not providing this level of customer service to your clients then you need to pick up the pace and work on improving your customer service skills before the day is over.
