Celebrity Love Affair for Medical Spa Treatments and Services
Celebrities are flocking to medical spas in record numbers these days, leading one to believe that the medical spa is the new “in” thing for the Hollywood crowd. It has become hard to pick up a copy of US Magazine or switch on a show like Entertainment Tonight and not notice at some point a movie star, rock star or other celebrity visiting a medical spa.
Not Just For Celebrities Anymore
Fortunately, Med Spas are not just for celebrities any more. Sure Britney Spears and Angelina Jolie have graced many spas with their presence, as have Brad Pitt, Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. The reason for the popularity among the beautiful people is that they want to stay beautiful, and a medical spa provides them with convenience in their treatment. At a medical spa all clients, whether celebrity or not, can get traditional spa treatments like facials, waxing, hair care and skin care combined with more medically inclined procedures such as laser hair removal, intense pulsed light treatments, Botox, or whatever else they may need.
During the last Sundance Film Festival, local medical spas in Park City, Utah were swamped with celebrities and welcomed the extra business. In fact, they took advantage of the situation to compile a list of services for those who were more used to sunny Southern California than to the strong winds and cold of the Utah mountains. They emphasized a 'backless dress' facial with lymphatic drainage and point massage for those wearing backless dresses; a film fanatical facial as a remedy for cold and wind; a Butch Cassidy facial, capitalizing on the name of the film Robert Redford stared in for those who want the same type of treatment he receives; and other services. That’s an example of a very good marketing technique.
Celebrities For Largely Responsible for Mainstream America Flocking to Medical Spas
Of course, part of the reason that we are able to enjoy the services of medical spas, and that they have become so popular around the country is that they began to gain popularity among the celebrity crowd in California. Many trends start on either the East or West Coast then work their way inward to the heartland of the country. Medical spas are no exception. While they make good sense to clients in many ways, it was probably their popularity among the jet set that first brought them to the notice of the average person. So in some ways we do have celebrities to thank. If they had not been flocking to medical spas, many people would not have heard of them.
