Quality Counts Where Towels and Linens Are Concerned… Your Clients Will Notice

Quality counts, especially where towels and linens are concerned.  And, while we’re at it, quality counts on blankets, bed linens in treatment rooms, and the robes used in spas.  Basically anything that touches the client should be the highest possible quality that you can acquire.

Put Yourself In The Place of the Client

Put yourself in the place of the client.  They are trusting you as a professional with their spa experience and their treatments.  They count on you for a refreshing experience, pampering, and the finest quality in the service they choose to avail themselves of.  They are spending hard earned money with you and expecting comfort and professionalism in return.  If you use poor quality towels, blankets, linens or robes the impression you make will not be good and not be conducive to repeat visits by the client.

Think Soft, Think Feel Good, and Think Fine Experience

Image the feel of soft, fluffy and thick towels on your skin.  They feel good, and make you feel good about the establishment that provides them.  The same is true with robes.  Thick, soft and fluffy make the grade for maximum comfort, and maximum comfort assists in the pampering aspect of the spa experience.  Slippers if provided should also be soft and comfortable, and geared towards the controlled temperature of your establishment.

Blankets and Sheets – The Comfort Is In The Touch

Blankets and sheets that cover the treatment beds or tables should also be the highest quality that you can afford to acquire.  If you’ve ever stayed in a hotel that used poor quality sheets and blankets then you know about the negative thoughts that ensue when you feel hard threads and roughly woven texture.  When you choose sheets and blankets think first about what would please you for your own personal use and make that the bare minimum in quality that you choose.  If finer quality is available however, consider it.  Your clients, after all, provide you with income.  Your clients put money in your pocket and need to be treated like gold.  The way to treat them well is to see to their every comfort.  Some spas will pay attention to the major comforts but forget the little things, the fine details, like blankets, sheets, robes, slippers, and towels.  This is where your clients will judge you and your quality of service just as much as the actual services that you provide.  Don’t skimp on quality and you’ll be providing one more reason for your clients to stay with you.
