New Advances in the Treatment of Cellulite: VelaSmooth

New advances in the treatment of cellulite, a must know aspects of continuing education for the esthetician, involves a product called Velasmooth.  Developed by Syneron Medical Ltd, an Israeli company, Velasmooth offers a modern and non-invasive treatment utilizing an innovative new approach to cellulite reduction.  It is reported to leave skin smoother and with fewer dimples than other methods.  It uses both infrared light and radio frequencies combined with mechanical massage and vacuum suction, manipulating fatty tissues.  This results in a reduction of collagen and in an improved circulation in the treated area.
 
Safe For All Types of Skin

Safe for all types of skin, Velasmooth is particularly effective on large body areas including the abdomen, buttocks, thighs and upper arms.  Initial treatments are 16 sessions spaced out over eight weeks, with each session lasting from 45 minutes to one hour. An added benefit is that there is no down time, so clients can resume their normal activity when the treatment ends.Maintenance treatments are recommended for once a month after the initial series is completed.  Many clients report that the treatment resembles a warm, deep tissue massage.  At the worst some say that it is only mildly uncomfortable.  Prices range form $150 to $200 per treatment. 

The Contour Applicator Is a New Development
